Share a fun personal fact with us

When I’m not working, I like to spend time at the tennis court or the ski slope. This year I’ve picked up golf again after many years. All of these sports are ones that my children also take part in – I believe it’s a great way to spend time together.

Describe your day-to-day role

As a senior manager I lead a group of 20 people across audit, outsourcing, tax and advisory solutions. We help dynamic entrepreneurial companies grow and develop, which means I spend a lot of time meeting people and going into their companies.

I always keep my door open to colleagues and aspire to develop our people, making sure they are challenged and motivated.

How would you describe your work/life balance?

I am a mother of two and work part time. Grant Thornton makes it possible for me to have both a successful career and family life by giving me the power to control my working hours in a way that suits me.

How does Grant Thornton help you achieve your career goals?

I am passionate about leadership and Grant Thornton puts a great deal of resources into developing its people. If you’re up for a challenge, working at Grant Thornton won’t disappoint and you’re encouraged to be your best every day.

Our office is a meeting spot for entrepreneurs where we share our expertise through seminars and networking events.

How would you describe the culture and people at Grant Thornton?

We have a very open culture that allows you to discuss your ideas with anyone. I seldom sit in my office and send emails to my colleagues, preferring to talk to them directly. My team also laughs a lot together – it’s a fun place to work.  People here are so open and friendly so it’s easy for a new employee to make friends.
