Grant Thornton Belgium and DWVA are joining forces

"We continue to rely on expertise and growth"

Grant Thornton, the business consultants with expertise in auditing, accountancy and tax & legal, has come to an agreement with respect to the accession of De Witte-Viselé Associates (abbreviated to DWVA) to Grant Thornton. Thereby, Grant Thornton further expand their accountancy and tax services in the Brussels and Walloon region. For the full-service consultancy partner, it means an additional 20 experts in various accounting and tax specializations.

The firm DWVA, established in 1997, succeeded in building up a successful practice as a financial service provider in consolidation, accountancy and (international) taxation. Thanks to their know-how and focus on certain niche services (transfer pricing, expat services, consolidation, property tax, etc.), DWVA’s clients include regional, multinational and listed companies.

“This expansion is perfectly in line with the Grant Thornton strategy. We have been looking for the right partner for a long time in order to further develop our tax, accountancy and advisory services in the Brussels and Walloon region. DWVA is our ‘perfect match’. Thanks to our combined strengths, we can respond even more effectively to the needs of growing and dynamic companies” says Paul De Weerdt, managing partner of Grant Thornton. He is looking forward to the integration with confidence: “The culture of both parties, their values and their mission are closely aligned. Both organisations are accessible discussion partners who offer their specialised services efficiently and pragmatically, with a pronounced client focus.”

Grant Thornton will employ over 160 specialists in offices in Antwerp, Brussels, Doornik, Ghent, Hasselt, Jumet and Turnhout.

Sigrid Viselé, managing partner at DWVA, also emphasises the advantages of the cooperation: “Joining up with the Grant Thornton network brings our clients and staff into contact with the international expertise of the 47,000‑strong workforce of the worldwide network, spread across more than 130 countries. Our clients who appreciate our personal and multidisciplinary approach, will notice that we will continue to act in the same way. The new environment offers extra opportunities to further create added value in our services.”
