Grant Thornton Belgium strengthens transfer pricing practice with appointment of Andy Neuteleers as Partner

BRUSSELS, 29 SEPTEMBER 2026 : Grant Thornton Belgium has appointed Andy Neuteleers as Partner in its Tax & Legal practice. His arrival further strengthens the firm's established transfer pricing team and expands its capabilities in complex advisory, financial transactions, business restructurings, valuations and transfer pricing disputes.

Transfer pricing as a strategic business issue

The appointment reflects Grant Thornton Belgium's continued investment in helping clients address a rapidly changing transfer pricing landscape. As tax authorities increase their scrutiny of cross-border arrangements and businesses face growing pressure to demonstrate how value is created across their organisations, transfer pricing has become a strategic business issue rather than a purely compliance-driven exercise.

"Transfer pricing today is about much more than applying a methodology or preparing documentation," says Andy Neuteleers. "Companies need to demonstrate how their arrangements align with the commercial and financial reality of their business, their decision-making processes, the way value is effectively created and how risks are managed. The resulting position should anticipate and withstand foreseeable scrutiny and remain robust through implementation, negotiation and, where necessary, dispute."

Building on a strong existing practice

Andy Neuteleers brings more than 20 years of experience advising multinational groups across a broad range of industries, including financial services. His expertise includes financial transactions and treasury transfer pricing, business restructurings, valuations, transfer pricing policy design and implementation, as well as dispute prevention and resolution. He has extensive experience with matters involving multiple jurisdictions and interactions with tax administrations across Europe and beyond.

Together, the team will support businesses throughout the transfer pricing lifecycle, from policy design, documentation and implementation to complex transactions, controversy, dispute prevention and resolution. It will combine local market and regulatory knowledge with multidisciplinary expertise in tax, legal, accountancy, audit and advisory, as well as access to international specialists and shared technology through the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform and the wider Grant Thornton International Ltd network. Together, these capabilities allow clients to approach transfer pricing questions not as isolated tax issues, but in the broader context of their commercial, operational, financial and legal realities.

According to Leslie Van den Branden, Managing Partner at Grant Thornton Belgium, the appointment further enhances the firm's ability to support clients facing increasingly sophisticated international challenges: “Andy combines extensive international experience with pragmatism and the ability to develop clear and practical positions on highly complex transfer pricing questions. His arrival adds further senior capability to our strong existing team and enhances our ability to assist clients with matters involving multiple jurisdictions and tax administrations.”

Addressing complexity with clarity and judgement

Bringing together specialist transfer pricing experience, multidisciplinary perspectives and international expertise allows complex questions to be considered in their full business context. Shared knowledge and technology support consistency and collaboration across teams and jurisdictions, while professional judgement remains essential in determining the most appropriate course of action.

“The most challenging transfer pricing questions are rarely resolved by standard technical guidance alone. The real challenge is understanding what truly matters, challenging assumptions and connecting economic, financial, legal and operational perspectives. That is where experienced advisers create value: through sound judgement that enables clients to take an informed position and pursue it with confidence, even when uncertainty remains.” concludes Andy Neuteleers.
